How to improve my poetry/songwriting?

The great thing about composition is that in poetry there can be free-flow where it doesn't have to be a certain style or format. I like your abstract way of writing. While there could be, I'm sure, improvements in anyone's writing, I find ideas by reading other writings, whether it's poetry or whatever. You have an interest that is evident, and your writings will improve with more experience and time. It is difficult to evaluate poetry because it is free-flowing and abstract. The best critic is you.
